Why We Homeschool
HARTSVILLE
HOME EDUCATORS
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he
will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6).

In a rapidly changing world, its geographical boundaries shifting, technological
advancements increasing, and history ever evolving, one can feel inept about
preparing one’s children for an uncertain future.  It is easier to believe the
“professionals” can do it better.  The truth is that no one is more adept at
preparing our children’s future than the Holy Spirit, Who has known their
destinies since before the foundations of the world.

More changes have occurred during the past century than in the history of the
world.  Universities and other learning institutions cannot keep pace with new
technological advancements.  Textbooks cannot be written fast enough and
school teachers cannot stay abreast with the latest changes.  Even in the finest
institutions of higher learning, students are not being taught new information.

Cutting edge corporations are no longer hiring university graduates because
they are unable to see “outside the box.” Current school systems reward
mediocrity, which inhibits creativity and innovation, desperately sought after in
today’s markets.  In fact, homeschooled students are more attractive to
companies because they are free from the restraints of rigid, institutional
thinking.

The world does not have the tools to train our children in the way they
should go.  Only God can mold them so they can accomplish all that He
has purposed to be.  By allowing Him to work through us, we are
empowered to become the finest teachers our children can possibly
have.  Through Him, our children will reach their highest potentials.
